The Rolling Stones wound down their 2024 North American tour in support of their latest album, Hackney Diamonds, with a concert on Sunday, July 21, at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Missouri. The concert was the 20th show of the trek, which kicked off on April 28 in Houston.

The band’s 20-song set didn’t offer too many surprises, although the fan-voted tune was The Stones’ 1969 gem “Let It Bleed,” which they only played two other times during the trek. In addition, the July 21 show included a performance the band’s classic 1968 song “Street Fighting Man,” which was played only one other time on the tour, at a July 5 concert in Vancouver, Canada.

The show also featured performances of four songs from Hackney Diamonds—“Angry,” “Mess It Up,” “Whole Wide World,” and “Sweet Sounds of Summer.”

The concert was the first The Stones ever played at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena, in the Ozarks near the border of Arkansas and about 20 miles south of the popular tourist town of Branson, Missouri.

According to RollingStone.com, frontman Mick Jagger chatted with the crowd and joked about seeing some celebrity impersonators perform in Branson.

“[L]ast night, me and some of the crew went to Branson. We saw some great shows,” he said. “I saw the Dolly Parton Horses Stampede. I saw Adele. I saw Michael Jackson. And then I ended up in Area71 [music venue and restaurant]. And I saw Mick Jagger. He was really good. It’s not the same person that’s up here tonight, but he’s very similar.”

After the concert, Jagger and guitarist Ronnie Wood post messages on their personal social media sites about the concert and the end of the tour. Each also seemed to hint that The Stones may be planning more shows.

    Mick Jagger’s Post

Jagger’s post features a montage of video clips of him energetically performing at various recent Stones concerts. The video is set to a segment of the studio version of “Whole Wide World” that features Jagger singing, “When the whole wide world’s against you / And that’s got you on the run / And you think the party’s over / But it’s only just, only just begun!”

Accompanying the video is a note that reads, “Thanks so much to everyone that has come to see us on this tour, we had an absolute blast! See you soon!”

    Ronnie Wood’s Post

Wood’s post featured several video clips, and a few photos as well. The videos included footage of him on his way to the concert, creating his hand-drawn set list for the show, and playing guitar backstage along to Little Richard’s “Good Golly Miss Molly.”

Ronnie also wrote a note to accompany his video and photo gallery. The message reads, “Thank you Ridgedale and thank you North America!!! I loved wrapping up the tour last night in Missouri – the whole of the Hackney Diamonds tour has been incredible – thank you to everyone who came to see us!! Cannot wait to see you all again!!”

The Rolling Stones’ Social Media Post

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones also posted a message on their social media sites commemorating the end of the tour. The post featured photos of all of the band’s official members and touring members, as well as some pics from the crowd-packed venues taken during the trek.

A note attached to the photos reads, “That’s a wrap on the Stones Tour ’24! A huge thank you to everyone that has come to see a show! And special thanks to all the outstanding musicians that join the Stones onstage, plus every crew member that works so hard to make this happen.”
