They say Nashville is a 10-year town, and about a decade after his signature chart-topper “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” went No. 1, Kip Moore is headlining stadiums–in South Africa.

Moore recently announced the US leg of his wildly successful Nomad World Tour 2024. The dates will wind the Georgia native through Chicago, Asbury Park, NJ, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and more.

But first, Moore has to wrap up his international headlining tour. The singer, often compared to a rural Bruce Springsteen, didn’t have to adapt his masculine, energetic performance style and distinct voice for the international markets. Fans in countries including Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa gobbled it up. When Moore initially visited the areas, the reception was warm; it will be white-hot on his upcoming return trip.

Moore will play 10 shows in Australia, including several small towns.

“We’re going to stretch our legs all throughout the country,” Moore said. “And then somewhere like New Zealand, I think this is a pretty special story to tell.”

New Zealand had been on Moore’s dream list of places to play for years. He went the first time last year. Ticket sales were lower than he had hoped, and while many artists might have canceled the tour, Moore showed up. His dedication is paying off.

Kip Moore: “We Lit the Smaller Club On Fire”

“We lit the smaller club on fire, probably unlike we’ve ever done,” Moore said. “I don’t know if we’ve ever been that good as a band as we were that night. There was something so electric in the room with the people that were there.”

He wasn’t expecting it. The venue workers had warned him that New Zealand crowds were often not very expressive and that he shouldn’t feel disrespected by their lack of reaction. Instead, Moore received the opposite.

“There was so much joy in that room,” he said. “There were people all over each other’s shoulders. And when we got done, the venue workers said they’d never seen anything like that in here. They said if we come back soon, the word will get out. And we did that.”

When Moore returns to Christchurch, NZ, next month, he’ll play at one of the city’s largest venues two nights in a row.

“It’s just all from the live show, which is so special because it’s not like we have any radio play there,” Moore said. “There are just little things happening outside of the States with people who are seeing this live show. And I know how good the band is. I know what the live show is, and it’s translating overseas big time.”

Moore’s American fans can see the tour when it kicks off in Columbia, South Carolina, on November 7.

Kip Moore To Play Stone Pony In Honor Of Hero Bruce Springsteen

“We purposely picked some spots that we played early on when we first started really headlining long shows,” Moore said. “When we went back to pick some spots, instead of doing the Chicago Theater, one of those rooms that was brought to us, we were like, ‘Let’s go do two nights at Joe’s.’ The Royale in Boston, I loved that room. I wanted to go back to it because I did it so many years ago. We’re going to do two nights there.”

He’s also excited about the Stone Pony, a frequent stage for Springsteen early in his career.

“I’ve never done the Stone Pony, but everybody knows Springsteen was a big inspiration to me growing up,” Moore explained. “So, we’re going to do two nights there.”

Moore said he’s also “super excited” for Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.

However, his fans might be happiest to know that new music is right around the corner. Moore recorded it with Jaren Johnston.

“You’re going to start hearing music from this record before this tour starts,” he promised. “People that come to this tour will get to hear some sides off of this record. By the end of the summer, you’ll start hearing some things leak from this next record.”
