2024 has brought ups and downs for country star Morgan Wallen. Thanks to his Post Malone collab “I Had Some Help,” the Tennessee native recently joined the ranks of Taylor Swift. On the opposite end of the spectrum, however, Wallen is still facing facing multiple felony charges stemming from an April 7 incident at a Nashville bar. The “Whiskey Glasses” singer still has yet to answer for those charges in court. And now it appears that won’t happen until December.

Morgan Wallen Has His Court Date Pushed Back Again

Morgan Wallen was set to appear in Davidson County criminal court this Thursday (Aug. 15.) Now, that date has been pushed back to Dec. 12, a Nashville news outlet reported Monday (Aug. 12.)

The “Cowgirls” singer previously waived his right to appear in court back in May, although his attorney was still expected to attend the hearing on his behalf.

What Happened at Eric Church’s Bar?

Wallen faces three Class E felony counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, along with a Class C misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct. Nashville police arrested the ACM Award winner on April 7 after he allegedly threw a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s, Eric Church’s bar on Broadway Street.

The chair fell six stories before landing just feet away from two police officers patrolling the street below.

Wallen could face a maximum six-year prison sentence if convicted of the felony charges.

Morgan Wallen Speaks Out About His Arrest

Morgan Wallen waited a little more than a week before publicly addressing his legal troubles on social media. “I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility,” wrote the “Last Night hitmaker in an April 19 post to X/Twitter.

He continued, “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”

Wallen, 31, will soon embark on the European leg of his record-breaking One Night at a Time tour. He returns to the U.S. Sept. 20 for the first of two hometown shows at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The tour wraps up Oct. 19 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
