With rumors that Noel and Liam Gallagher could be reuniting Oasis, there is speculation for what that means at every turn. There are posts asking fans to name their top three opening acts for a new Oasis gig, for example. Sources are also speculating how much money the brothers could make by putting their differences aside for the sake of the band.

Jonathan Shalit—chairman of talent agency InterTalent—spoke with The Sun recently, giving his estimation of how much the Gallaghers stand to make. “With tickets, sponsorship, merchandise and filming, I would predict an income for Noel and Liam of over £50 million (almost $66 million) each,” said Shalit. “This is a tour that could easily gross over £400 million ($528 million).”

Liam and Noel Gallagher have both teased an Oasis reunion in the past few days. They both posted about an announcement on their social media, with simply a date and time (August 27 at 8 a.m.). Fans are convinced that the brothers are reuniting, with a possible reason being the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe.

Liam took to social media to fuel speculation, telling his Twitter followers, “I never did like that word FORMER,” in possible reference to the band. At least, that’s what fans assumed, as many of them replied in disbelief. “Liam if your playing with me, scrap outside Tesco,” one person wrote.

Noel and Liam Gallagher Seem To Be Gearing Up for Major Oasis Reunion Announcement

The rumors of an Oasis reunion are fueled by the matching messages on the brothers’ social media. The same message was also displayed on stage at the Reading Festival following Liam’s set. Additionally, during the show, Liam dedicated “Half the World Away” to Noel for at least the second time.

“I wanna dedicate this song to Noel f–king Gallagher,” Liam told the crowd. Previously, he dedicated that song to Noel during his Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour. Allegedly, a source for The Sun stated that the brothers could reunite Oasis “for the fans.”

“Noel and Liam are never going to be the best of friends but they want to bring Oasis back for the fans,” the unnamed source said. “They aren’t getting any younger and the demand is huge. They decided it was now or never.”

Good news for long-time Oasis fans, but take the speculation with a grain of salt—the notoriously volatile brothers could always have another backstage falling out.
