Oakwood plan would be good for Elyria
A deal between the city of Elyria and Save Our Children to turn the former Oakwood School over to the nonprofit should be a boon to both. The price, as they say, is right. Under a plan working its way through City Council, the old school, which closed in 2021, would be sold to Save Our Children for $1. (Elyria Schools turned over Oakwood and two other buildings to the city in exchange for three acres of city-owned land next to its new Northwood campus.)

North Ridgeville hires assistant principal for Liberty Elementary
The North Ridgeville Board of Education hired a new assistant principal at its meeting Tuesday. Jennifer Pinzone, previously a literacy coach at Keystone Local Schools in LaGrange and the Lorain County Educational Services Center, will be the assistant principal for Liberty Elementary.
