No one hurt after kitchen fire in Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - No one was hurt after a kitchen fire in Grand Forks. It happened Tuesday just after 6 PM at 91 Parkview Circle. Fire crews arrived on scene to find active flames on the first floor and smoke throughout the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished with moderate fire damage isolated to the kitchen.

Jimmies announce 2024-25 home schedule
Sixteen home games highlight the 2024-25 University of Jamestown women's hockey schedule, announced by head coach Hannah Griffin on Tuesday. Five of UJ's first seven games are at home, including the season opener October 4 against Midland. Jamestown hosts Midland again on October 5 and finishes the weekend with a game against Arizona on October 6. After a weekend series at Minot State October 11-12, the Jimmies return to Wilson Arena to host Minnesota October 19-20.

Horace City Council approves preliminary budget with $1.3 million increase in expenses
(HORACE) – The Horace City Council has given their preliminary approval of the 2025 city budget, including $1.3 million in expenses. The increase in expenses totals nearly $600,000 more in expenses from the 2024 budget. According to city documents, the increases include raises for the City Commissioners and Mayor, along with an addition of an assistant city planner/code enforcement official.
