LORANGER - Tangipahoa Parish residents gathered for candlelight vigil in remembrance of mother Callie Jo Brunett and her 4-year-old daughter Erin. "How could this happen to her of all people? Covington sets early tone for Independence Day fun
With July 4 falling on a Thursday this year, some Independence Day festivals in St. Tammany were scheduled for June 29, to take advantage of the less-hectic weekend days. Both the Slidell Heritage Festival and the Sparks in the Park celebration in Covington were held June 29 and, by all means, the crowds didn't mind partying a few days early. Southeastern’s Jay Artigues to chair 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Committee
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Southeastern Louisiana University Director of Athletics Jay Artigues has been selected to serve as the chair of the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee in 2024-25. Artigues is entering his fourth year on the committee which is responsible for selecting, seeding and bracketing the entire 64-team NCAA Tournament field. In addition, the committee is tasked with recommending rule changes and revisions to the NCAA Baseball Rules Committee.
