Frost Advisory Issued for Portions of North Carolina

It's not just yet time to leave your plants outside for the springtime. Southwestern portions of NC will experience a frost overnight.

Make sure plants are covered securely or brought indoors. Enjoy this cool down before the hot days are here to stay for the summer.

The NWS issued this Frost Advisory earlier today:

"Frost Advisory issued April 21 at 2:07PM EDT until April 22 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Morristown TN

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina, east Tennessee, and southwest Virginia.

* WHEN...From 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Instructions:
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
