Thousands of people descended upon Disneyland for the 32 nd annual Children’s Hospital of Orange County Walk in the Park fundraiser on Sunday.

The head of KTLA Team DiCarlo is, of course, KTLA 5 meteorologist Henry DiCarlo .  He was joined by KTLA 5’s Omar Lewis in Anaheim for the festivities and to help raise money for programs, education and research for kids.

Disneyland Resort Ambassador Jada Young spoke with Lewis and emphasized how impressed she was with this year’s turnout.

“Oh, my goodness…there is so much excitement,” Young said just after 8 a.m. as throngs of people passed by.  “The energy is high, and we are so happy to be here with CHOC celebrating this tradition…that goes all the way back to Walt Disney.”

Henry, who is participating in the walk for the 8 th year running, thanked KTLA viewers and the community for showing up to support a great cause.

“This is just a fantastic event,” Henry said.  “CHOC has always been near and dear to me and my wife…our youngest son had a condition at birth that required the care of CHOC, and it just left an indelible impression on us…this is our way of giving back and connecting with the viewers.”

For those who can’t make the walk, a link to donate to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County can be found here .

As of 9:30 a.m., KTLA Team DiCarlo had raised over $27,000.
