A Theatre On Ice free program’s purpose is to express a theme, emotion or story. Each story is told in balanced harmony by a team of up to 28 skaters. Programs can be linear storytelling or abstract, an original work or a reinterpretation of an existing work. Each must reflect the meaning or theme of the story through movement, costuming and the use of props and scenery.
Bredbenner Adds Two Freshmen to Signing Class
WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State head softball coach Kristi Bredbenner announced the addition of two freshmen to the 2024 signing class, and will report to campus next month. Both from the state of Texas, Gabby Scott (C/OF) and Ryley Nihart (RHP) push the incoming freshman class to six signees. They join Catelyn Beckerley, Brookelyn Livanec, Morgan Lloyd and Ava Sliger who signed with the Shockers last fall.

Mein, from Paola, KS, will compete in trap shooting. This is his second Olympic appearance, following his gold medal win at the 2022 Shotgun World Championship in Osijek, Croatia.

It will be a mild start to the day with morning low temperatures in the 60s to near 70. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 90s. Overall not a bad day for late July and pretty typical for Kansas. Today’s temperatures will be the coolest that we will see for a while, as it will turn hotter Sunday with highs in the upper 90s to 100 degrees. South winds will be gusty Sunday afternoon too.

Arrest Made in Coffeyville Murder
A Neodesha man is arrested in a murder investigation in Coffeyville. 41-year-old Ryan J. McCullough has been taken into custody for the charge of murder in the second degree. On May 5th, McCullough was involved in an altercation with the victim, 63-year-old David L. Wintjen, who passed a few days later. After an investigation by the Coffeyville Police Department, a warrant was issued for McCullough’s arrest.
