Deputies arrived a few minutes later and found 47-year-old Michela D. Hinson dead in the driver’s seat. Her husband, 47-year-old Jeremy J. Hinson, was in the passenger seat.

Investigators said it “was apparent” Michela Hinson had suffered “multiple gunshot wounds.” They recovered a firearm from the crime scene.

Jeremy Hinson was booked into the Madison County Jail on a preliminary murder charge. Investigators requested a 72-hold as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
