ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) – The man who was electrocuted while working Thursday morning has been identified as an Upstate firefighter.

We previously reported that 23-year-old Tristan Garrett Stone was working on an air conditioning unit at Anderson Regional Joint Water System when he cut a live wire and was electrocuted.

Following the announcement of Stone’s death, the Hopewell Fire Department posted on Facebook that Stone joined its team in May of 2023.

“He was always eager to learn something new, drive a truck any chance he got, and LOVED running fire calls,” the post said.” He was a guy who truly loved his fire department and you could always count on. We will all miss our ‘hot rod’.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
