Cincinnati’s Junior Guard Olympics celebrates young lifeguards
(Cincinnati): Cheer on Cincy Rec’s future generation of Lifeguards at CRC’s Junior Guard Olympics on Saturday, July 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at Ryan Pool. For the past 6 weeks, CRC’s award-winning Junior Lifeguard program has provided the building blocks and training for youths 11 to 14 to master the Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. Over 70 Junior Guards will compete in water and on land to display the skills they have learned and honed over the summer months. Junior guards compete for the gold in events mirroring Red Cross certifications, adult CPR, active victim, water tread, brick retrieval, kick relay, and more.
