Man with an active warrant sought in Allegany County
CUBA, N.Y. — An Allegany County police department is searching for a man with an active warrant. Harry Strong, 18, was first arrested Monday afternoon when the Cuba Police Department said he allegedly stole a family's pet cat. He was charged with trespassing, petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and filing a false written statement, then released on an appearance ticket.
State Police seek help in solving 7-year-old homicide
SCIO, N.Y. — In a New York State Police barracks in Batavia, there are two investigators, with two boxes of files, hoping to solve a seven-year old mystery. “I’ve been in the bureau of criminal investigation since 2004 and this is the only case I've ever seen or heard of like this," said NYSP Sr. Investigator Daniel Howard.

New York State Police at Homer need your help in identifying these two suspects - a male and a female. Trooper responded to a call at the Walmart on Bennie Road in Cortlandville on May 14, 2024. It was reported that the two suspects left the store with a full cart of items and did not try to pay for the items. The suspects fled the Walmart in a black pickup truck. Despite their best efforts, Troopers have not been able to locate the suspects and need the public's help identifying them.
