ANDOVER OH- Volleyball season is upon us, and there’s no better place to be for it than Pymatuning Valley. Last season, the Lakers felt like they didn’t live up to their potential, but the good news is with a lot of those players back, they are excited to prove just how hungry they are to hit their ceiling, and then blow it up. I’m a very strong conference, every night will be a challenge for Pymatuning Valley, but if you don’t think they’ll be up for it then you don’t know these players.

Andover Pymatuning Valley seemed a step slow at the start, but rallied to win 38-27 over Mineral Ridge for an Ohio high school football victory on Aug. 23. Mineral Ridge started on steady ground by forging a 7-6 lead over Andover Pymatuning Valley at the end of the first quarter.

KIRTLAND—Freshman Payton Adkins made the most of her first home game as she recorded a hat trick in Kirtland’s 7-1 win over visiting Jefferson on Thursday. With the Hornets and Falcons tied 1-1 early in the first half, Adkins scored a pair of goals in a span of 23 seconds and added her third goal with 20:55 remaining before intermission.
