ANGOLA, Ind. (WANE) – Four months ago, Trine men’s basketball made some history in their own backyard. The Thunder celebrated a Division III national championship after winning in front of a record crowd at Memorial Coliseum.

Months later, Trine is paying it forward with their annual Hoosier Boys Basketball skills camp in Angola. The Thunder kicked off the four day camp on Sunday.

The next 24 hours are quite hectic for Trine. On Monday, Trine men’s basketball is flying out to Washington D.C. for the White House College Champions Day. They will return to Angola later that day for the remainder of camp.

Despite losing a couple core players, Trine is expected to return most members of the national championship team. Head Coach Brooks Miller is also mixing in three grad transfers to bolster the roster.

Trine tips off their season on Friday, Nov. 8 against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
