Good afternoon everyone. We are starting to watch the buddings of a severe weather outbreak that may effect areas such as eastern South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and possibly down into Kansas.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms that stretched from the Upper Midwest all the way down into northern parts of Mississippi have finally fizzled out, which now gives "room" for a new set of storms to grow.

While there are no severe thunderstorm or tornado watches at this time, we are expecting these small areas of heavy thunderstorms to grow out and organize into either one large line, or several multi-directional lines.

Later this evening, overnight, and into the morning hours of tomorrow, we will be watching closely for thunderstorms capable of very large hail, damaging winds, torrential rain, frequent lightning, and tornadoes.

Stay tuned for the latest, and please stay tuned to your local agencies for the latest watches and warnings.
