Even though the 2024 college football season hasn't started, projections for the 2025 NFL Draft are coming in hot and fast. The nation's top underclassmen will be eligible for the NFL once this season ends. Several familiar Michigan Wolverine stars will be at the forefront of the 2025 draft class.

ESPN's latest mock draft had three Wolverines headlining its first round. Which familiar faces made the cut?

Three Michigan Wolverines Make First Round NFL Mock Draft

Matt Miller of ESPN logged his first mock of the 2025 NFL Draft season this week, even using trades to shake up the order. Michigan fans will quickly notice unsurprising praise for a few key pieces. Let's look at the three stars who made the top 15 picks of the first round.

Will Johnson Lands Third Overall to Denver

The biggest star left over on Michigan's championship-winning team is cornerback Will Johnson. A sure thing to be considered a top-10 pick and likely the top corner in the class, the 6-foot-2 defender might be the next Sauce Gardner.

Miller has him teaming up with Patrick Surtain II, which would be an incredible duo for the duration of their time together. With seven interceptions, terrific activity in the run game, and the size to be a shutdown presence, this would be a home run for Denver.

Vikings Select Mason Graham Seventh Overall

In the 2024 first round, the Vikings significantly bolstered their lineup by acquiring quarterback J.J. McCarthy and defensive end Dallas Turner. However, attention should shift towards strengthening the defensive line's interior next year, with Graham emerging as a top contender for the highest prospect in his class.

Although his statistics, including just three sacks in 2023, may not seem overly impressive owing to the rotational strategy and specific roles within Michigan's defensive line, Graham's remarkable power and explosive performance are evident on film.

Colts Add Tight End Colston Loveland

How could anyone not be tempted to surround Anthony Richardson with more talented playmakers? The tight end position stands out as one of the few areas of uncertainty in the team's offense, but Loveland's combination of receiving prowess and superior blocking skills places him within the top 10 of Miller's preseason rankings.

Last season, in Michigan's run-focused offense, he grabbed 45 receptions and tallied four touchdowns. At 6-5, this junior possesses exceptional agility and speed for making plays in the open field as a pass catcher.
