Quinn Ewers is a former five-star prospect out of Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.

He originally committed to play his college ball at Ohio State University before transferring to Austin, TX to play for Coach Steve Sarkisian's Longhorns.

On Wednesday, July 17, Ewers channeled his inner Buckeye as he took a not-so-subtle shot at the Wolverines ahead of the Longhorns' showdown with Michigan in Ann Arbor, currently scheduled for September 7 at noon ET.

"I think going up to the Big House (Michigan Stadium), it's gonna be an awesome environment," Ewers said at a news conference.

"Especially all the hype just cuz it's an early game and you know they're coming off a really big win in the national championship and uh, yeah the team up north," Ewers added, referring to Michigan in the same manner as Ohio State players and coaches.

Last season, Ewers threw for 3,479 yards with 22 touchdowns with 6 interceptions for the Longhorns.

Texas' high octane passing attack will go up against a talented Michigan secondary led by Will Johnson and Makari Paige, which should make for compelling theater this fall.
