Michigan Wolverines Well-Represented In 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Michigan Wolverines may be in for a bit of a rebuilding phase after losing head coach Jim Harbaugh as well as quarterback J.J. McCarthy (among other key pieces) to the NFL, but that does not mean the defending national champions are bereft of talent heading into 2024.

As a matter of fact, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski has placed three Michigan players into his 2025 NFL Mock Draft: cornerback Will Johnson (No. 10), defensive lineman Mason Graham (No. 13) and tight end Colston Loveland (No. 17).

So, not only does Sobleski have three Wolverines players going in the first round, but he has the trio flying off the board inside the top 20.

Johnson had a breakout year last season, finishing with 27 tackles, four interceptions and a defensive touchdown. He also surrendered just a 29.1 passer rating when thrown at in 2023.

Graham is heading into his junior campaign and is coming off of a season in which he totaled 36 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Sobleski compares the defender to Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Carter.

Meanwhile, Loveland hauled in 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns, and at 6-foot-5 and around 245 pounds, he has terrific size for a tight end.

How will Michigan survive the loss of Jim Harbaugh?

Prior to Harbaugh’s arrival in 2015, Michigan had logged just two double-digit win campaigns over the span of 11 seasons between 2004 and 2014.

Then, Harbaugh burst on to the scene and led the Wolverines to six double-digit win seasons in nine years at the helm, including this past season when Michigan went a perfect 15-0 en route to a national title.

The Wolverines unquestionably have a storied history, but there is also no doubt that the school was struggling before Harbaugh.

Now, Sherrone Moore—who had served in multiple different roles under Harbaugh since 2018—will take over as head coach. He definitely has some pretty big shoes to fill in Ann Arbor.
