The story of Michigan football's infamous figure, set to capture the spotlight on Netflix on August 30th, involves Connor Stalions. Once an off-field analyst for Michigan hired in 2022, Stalions is now a central figure in a Netflix documentary series called “UNTOLD.”

This episode delves into what many believe to be one of college football's largest scandals.

In the episode titled “Sign Stealer,” Stalions will share for the first time his perspective on the alleged sign-stealing controversy at Michigan that made him a notorious figure.

According to reports from Netflix, Stalions became infamous as the main orchestrator of a scheme involving a group that purchased tickets to Big 10 games to secretly record the opposing teams' sideline signals, which has been banned since 1994.

Stalions stepped down from his role in November 2023.

Despite the intense scrutiny surrounding the 2023 season, the Wolverines achieved a flawless 15-0 record and secured the national championship.

Jim Harbaugh, Michigan’s head coach at the time, faced a three-game suspension imposed by the Big Ten due to the scandal. During his suspension, the team faced tough competitors, Penn State and Ohio State, yet emerged victorious under the temporary leadership of Sherrone Moore, the former offensive coordinator.

Following these events, Harbaugh took up a new position as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL. His departure, however, doesn't close the chapter on the NCAA's ongoing investigation into the sign-stealing allegations, which according to The Detroit Press , has been slow and fraught with complexities as of January.

The upcoming films feature a documentary about the 2009 killing of Steve McNair, a quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, one on U.S. soccer icon Hope Solo, and another project.

These releases follow "Johnny Football," which centered on Johnny Manziel, the ex-Texas A&M quarterback, and "Swamp Kings," a look at the University of Florida's football program under coach Urban Meyer, both of which Netflix released last year.
