ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan Wolverines football and its top collective are hosting the Champions Circle Golf Classic featuring head coach Sherrone Moore Tuesday in Ann Arbor. The football team, along with major donors, will take part in a golf outing, followed by an auction, with proceeds to benefit U-M student-athletes.
Hosts Clayton Sayfie , Anthony Broome and Chris Balas are streaming The Wolverine Podcast live from the University of Michigan Golf Course from 8:50-10:45 a.m. ET. The crew will interview Moore and a slew of top players, including (times are approximate and subject to change):
The players will preview the 2024 Michigan football season, discuss defending their national championship and a new era for the program under Moore. The team is set to begin fall camp July 31, following Moore, Edwards, Bredeson and graduate safety Makari Paige making an appearance at Big Ten Media Days in Indianapolis Thursday (July 25).
The collective has signed numerous Michigan football players to contracts this offseason. Will Johnson — an All-American last season — said this spring that it was one of the main reasons why the core of the team stuck together amid a coaching change.
“I think the collective has done a great job of putting their all into making it what it is now, and I think they’ve done a great job so far, so I’m excited to see where it’s going,” Johnson said in March.
“I think it was very important. We needed to keep that core group together — a lot of the guys that had experience on this team last year, especially in the secondary. I think that was the main reason we were able to do that, and I think it’s going to be big for later in this offseason, too.”
