Several talented underclassmen made their way to Michigan for the BBQ at The Big House this weekend, including Felix Ojo.

The four-star 2026 offensive lineman out of Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge enjoyed getting his first in-depth look at the program.

“The overall visit went great,” Ojo said. “My favorite parts of it were just seeing not only the campus and the facilities but also being able to see how Coach (Grant) Newsome coaches.”

Ojo participated in a workout with new Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome. And as Ojo mentioned, he was very impressed with Newsome’s coaching style.

“I think Coach Newsome as a person is a great person, and I relate to him on his views,” Ojo said. “What I picked up from him while camping with him was new techniques that I can use in my pass game.”

The visit also gave Ojo an opportunity to be around new Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore.

“I think Coach Moore is a great coach who knows what he is doing,” Ojo said. “Michigan will be in good hands with him next season and most definitely have a chance to compete for back-to-back national championships.”

Ojo added that he has been very impressed with Michigan’s recent offensive line production and can envision himself starring as a true tackle.

“I think Michigan always has some of the best offensive line development in college football,” Ojo said. “I see myself fitting in perfectly in their offense.”

Ojo impressed Newsome and the rest of the Michigan staff with his workout performance and left Ann Arbor with a new offer from the Wolverines.

“The Michigan offer means a lot to me, especially since it’s one of the top schools that always send linemen to the league,” Ojo said. “What stands out to me about the program is just the culture.”

Along with Michigan, Ojo holds offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, Texas, USC and several others.

At 6-foot-7, 274 pounds, Ojo is ranked as the No. 18 offensive tackle and No. 215 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 27 overall recruit in the state of Texas for next cycle.

Oklahoma has the early lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 28.8 percent chance of landing him. Texas is in second place with a 17.1 percent chance of landing him.
