Ole Miss women's basketball is starting to ramp up their recruitment for the class of 2025 players. One of the top guards has narrowed her list to 14 schools, with the Rebels making it amongst some of the best schools in the nation. Four-star McKenzie Mathurin had Ole Miss, Alabama, UNC, Oregon, and ten other schools she is considering in her recruitment process. Mathurin has scheduled visits with several schools, including Ole Miss, where she will be in Oxford from August 1-3. Ole Miss could push for recent Alabama football decommit Myles Johnson
While Ole Miss secured a commitment from four-star safety, Cortez Thomas, Alabama, lost two, with Zymear Smith and Myles Johnson decommitting from the program. Johnson has been committed to Alabama since October 2023 but has said that he has not received much contact from the new coaching staff. Ole Miss and Florida have still been recruiting the four-star linebacker, and now he has opened up his recruitment again, the Rebels may ramp up their efforts in his recruitment.
