A pair of California native recruits in the 2026 recruiting class visited Michigan last weekend, including Los Angeles (Calif.) Leuzinger offensive tackle Blake Graham .

The sophomore arrived to participate in the BBQ at The Big House events.

“My first time at Michigan was amazing,” Graham told The Wolverine . “It was definitely different from any other school I have been to. I definitely enjoyed all the festivities, specially the kick ball game and the NCAA 25 tournament. The festivities were a good way to bond and meet different recruits at the barbecue.”

Since it was Graham’s first time in Ann Arbor, he got an in-depth tour of the area.

“The facilities were nice and different,” Graham said. “The weight room was huge. I really like how everything is close to campus when it comes to downtown Ann Arbor.”

Graham also competed in drills overseen by Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome .

“I enjoyed the workout,” Graham said. “It was a good opportunity to learn new things to help improve my game for this upcoming season. I think I did alright during the workout. Always things I can improve on.”

The Wolverines offered Graham in the spring of last year. Former safeties coach Jay Harbaugh , the primary recruiter for the West Coast, pulled the trigger on Graham, so the latter cherished the several in-person moments with Newsome.

“I liked Coach Newsome’s coaching style,” Graham said. “He’s the type of coach that is going to coach you very hard but always makes sure you know what he’s saying or teaching, which is very similar to my high school coaches.”

The recent history of Michigan producing trench maulers to the professional ranks has piqued Graham’s interest.

“I love the success they’ve had at the (offensive line) position,” Graham said. “They have 14 (offensive line) on current NFL rosters, so it really shows how much they care about the position.”

So, where does U-M stand for Graham following the barbecue?

“I feel good about Michigan,” Graham said. “Everyone was friendly and welcoming and they have great facilities that can help me get to where I want to be as a player. I’m not sure exactly when I will be coming back, but definitely will have to try for a game this season.”

At 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, Graham is not yet listed on the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services.
