    HBO has unveiled the official trailer for its much-anticipated limited series, "The Penguin," starring Colin Farrell. The trailer premiered at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), offering fans a glimpse into the eight-episode series that continues the epic crime saga of "The Batman" from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios.

    "The Penguin" is set to debut Sept. 19, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, with episodes available to stream on Max. This series promises to delve deeper into the dark and complex world established by filmmaker Matt Reeves in the global blockbuster "The Batman," according to a company press release.

    Colin Farrell reprises his role as Oz Cobb, also known as "The Penguin," bringing the character to life in a story developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc. The series will explore the rise of The Penguin in Gotham's criminal underworld, offering viewers an intense and captivating narrative.

    The cast features an impressive lineup of talent, including Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz as Victor Aguilar, Michael Kelly as Johnny Viti, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Nadia Maroni, Deirdre O’Connell as Francis Cobb, Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, James Madio as Milos Grapa, Scott Cohen as Luca Falcone, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Carmen Ejogo as Eve Karlo, and Theo Rossi as Dr. Julian Rush.

    The series boasts a strong production team with executive producers Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, Craig Zobel (who directs the first three episodes), and Bill Carraro. "The Penguin" is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. Daniel Pipski also serves as an executive producer. The characters are based on those created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.

    Fans of "The Batman" and the intricate world of Gotham probably won't want to miss this new chapter in the saga.
