    Good Samaritans intervene in Annandale carjackings

    FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Fairfax County credited several Good Samaritans who intervened in attempted carjackings in Annandale on Saturday afternoon.

    The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said a 38-year-old man carjacked a victim in the 7600 block of Allman Drive and then, just an hour after, tried to carjack victims on Lukens Lane and in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway in Mt. Vernon.

    Several Good Samaritans noticed the attempted carjackings and stepped in.

    FCPD said the Good Samaritans detained the man, who was seemingly under the influence of narcotics, until officers were able to arrive.
