Person dies after coming ‘into contact’ with Amtrak train in Anne Arundel County
A person is dead after coming into contact with a train in Anne Arundel County Friday morning, according to Amtrak. At about 9:42 a.m. a person trespassing on the tracks “came into contact” with a train in Odenton, said Amtrak spokesperson Kimberly Woods. Man charged in shooting on Bay Bridge
CENTREVILLE — A Severn man is facing multiple charges in Queen Anne's County following an incident on the Bay Bridge in early June. According to Maryland Transportation Authority Police the driver of a black Jeep, identified as Melvin Clark, age 41, fired multiple shots toward a silver Mitsubishi while driving recklessly across the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Reports show the driver then exited the Jeep and pointed a gun at the driver of the Mitsubishi. In a July 18 hearing, Judge Jennifer Alexander ordered Clark to be held without bond pending trial. In addition to multiple traffic violations, Clark is charged with assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment and the use of a firearm in a felony crime.
32-year-old man arrested for the murder of his father in Queen Anne’s County
MARYLAND (WBFF) — The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested a man in connection with the murder of his father. The suspect, identified as Drew Bernard Meyer, 32, of Auckland Way in Chester, Maryland has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
Edgewater Man Arrested After Alleged Vehicle Break-Ins in Glen Burnie, Police Recover Stolen Items
Early on the morning of July 19, a Glen Burnie neighborhood was alerted to a potential thief in their midst. According to a post by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, at around 4:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person trying to enter vehicles along Ridgely Road and Old Stage Road. The individual, later identified as Julian Christopher Wise, a 35-year-old man from Edgewater, Maryland, attempted to flee on foot upon the arrival of law enforcement.

The home invader implicated in a fatal incident and arson last year is going to spend decades in prison, according to the Howard County State's Attorney's Office. BALTIMORE -- Baltimore County Police are investigating what led up to a crash in Dundalk that put two Baltimore County officers in the hospital on Saturday.
