OKLAHOMA CITY The Tinker Federal Credit Union Foundation, in partnership with the Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation, has awarded the Antlers Fire Department a $17,425 grant for new bunker gear.

The grant will enable the Antlers Fire Department to replace outdated and damaged equipment for five firefighters, significantly enhancing the safety and well-being of first responders. The department serves all of Pushmataha County and frequently handles rural wildfires. This award aligns with the goals of both foundations to support Oklahoma's first responders.

“Partnerships are central to amplifying our impact in rural communities,” said Steve Lolli, president and chairman of the Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation. “We are excited to partner with the Tinker Federal Credit Union Foundation to provide up-to-date equipment for the Antlers Fire and Idabel Police Departments. We look forward to continuing our work with Tinker to support the safety of our rural first responders, enhancing their ability to protect and save lives.”

The Antlers Fire Department is primarily composed of volunteers dedicated to keeping their community safe. This grant is one of many projects supported by the Tinker Federal Credit Union Foundation and its partners this year.
