Fountain Hills has reminded celebrants that not all fireworks are permissible under Town Code Section 11-1-4. The code, clear in its boundaries, references ARS 36-1601 for a strict definition of "permissible fireworks." Not on the list is anything that is designed or intended to rise into the air and explode or to detonate in the air or to fly above the ground, according to a recent announcement by the town.

Queen Creek town offices to close July 4 for Independence Day
The Town of Queen Creek offices and Recreation Annex will close on Thursday, July 4 in observation of Independence Day. Trash and recycling services for zone four will be impacted by the holiday closure. All trash and recycling services in this zone (including bulk trash collection) will be moved back one calendar day. Residents in zone four will need to have their trash and recycling carts curbside by 6 a.m. on Friday, July 5. As a reminder, it can take up to 48 hours for bulk trash to be picked up.
