The city of Apache Junction and a contractor have been conducting street-pavement preservation work on three roads — Superstition Boulevard from State Route 88 (North Apache Trail) to Arroya Drive, Tomahawk Road from Old West Highway to Southern Avenue and Baseline Avenue from Tomahawk Road to Goldfield Road.

The work started Friday, June 21, and is to last through June 28. All work and lane closures will occur from approximately 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residential and business access will be maintained throughout the duration of the work, according to a release.

You can download a map of the impacted streets at https://www.apachejunctionaz.gov/DocumentCenter/View/28162/Restrictions-Map

The work will result in lane restrictions with directional closures of travel for the streets listed below on the specified dates:

Tomahawk Road from Old West Highway to Southern Avenue:

    • Wednesday, June 26: northbound traffic closure

Baseline Avenue from Tomahawk Road to Goldfield Road:

    • Thursday, June 27: westbound traffic closure
    • Friday, June 28: eastbound traffic closure

The dates and timeframes are subject to change due to weather. Any questions related to the project should be directed to the Public Works Department at 480-982-1055.
