Jobsite's ROCKY HORROR Adds Additional Performances
1 Review: Jobsite Theater's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at the Jaeb - 'Don't Dream It, Be It!'. THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is now on stage through Aug. 9 at the Straz Center, where Jobsite is resident theater company. Joining 2pm performances added last week for Sat. July 27 and Aug. 3, the resident theater company of the Straz Center has just added two final dates: Thu., Aug. 8, and Fri., Aug. 9, both at 7:30pm. With these additions, no further dates may be added. Both performances are on sale now, starting at $24.50.
Bainum Family Foundation commits $100 million to early education
The Bainum Family Foundation has announced a five-year, $100 million commitment to early childhood education. The largest investment in the history of the foundation will expand its geographic reach beyond Florida and Washington, D.C. Through initiatives including WeVision EarlyEd, the foundation will use its resources to define ideal child care and make it real for families now and in the future. Moreover, the funding will provide grantees and partners with the stability they need to support young children and their families while advancing transformative ideas and solutions to pave the way toward a more equitable future.

The National Weather Service in Tampa has issued a weather forecast, alerting residents to hot and unsettled conditions in the coming days. According to the latest updates, today's weather sees a high near 96 degrees with heat index values soaring as high as 105. Calm winds are expected to settle in from the south-southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. The NWS highlights a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 11 am, with new rainfall amounts forecasted to be less than a tenth of an inch, barring heavier quantities in potential thunderstorms. In the evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue until around 2 am with a slight drop in temperatures to a low of about 77 degrees accompanied by light, variable wind.
