Yuba City native directs music video that was a full-circle opportunity

Filmmaker Kyle Garrett, who grew up in Yuba City, remembers listening to “The Meadowlands” by the Wrens during a pivotal moment in his life.

He moved to San Francisco in 2004 for film school and listened to that album while driving over the Bay Bridge in a U-Haul full of stuff. He was struck by how raw and earnest the music felt.
