    UPDATE: Juvenile hurt after drive-by shooting near Pasco Circle K

    PASCO, Wash. -- 8:30 P.M.: According to Pasco Police Department Captain Bill Parramore a juvenile was shot and hurt during the drive-by.

    Cpt. Parramore said it appears to be random act of violence but there is no threat to the public.

    Officials said the Pasco Police's Street Crime Unit is actively searching for the suspect with drones and K9's.

    Pasco Police Department said there was a drive-by shooting near Circle K in Pasco Monday evening.

    The victim was shot at least once and was taken to a local hospital.

    Officials said the shooting happened near the Circle K on Chapel Hill and Broadmoor Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Monday evening.

    Chapel Hill Boulevard is closed between Broadmoor Boulevard and Saint Francis Lane.

    There is heavy police activity in the area and people should avoid the area to allow law enforcement to work.

    The Pasco Fire Department is also on scene assisting law enforcement.
