UPDATE: Rival juvenile gang member arrested in connection to Pasco drive-by shooting

PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco Police said a juvenile boy was arrested Wednesday at an apartment complex in Richland.

Officials said the Pasco Street Crimes Unit (SCU), with the assistance of Richland SCU, the Benton County Gang Unit, the Kennewick CAT team, and the Tri City METRO Unit found the juvenile at the apartment complex, surrounded the building and arrested the juvenile Wednesday.

Pasco Police said the juvenile who was shot was transported to a local hospital where the victim and suspect were identified as juvenile member of rival gangs.

Officials said officers conducted surveillance, talked to witnesses and others, and executed multiple search warrants during the investigation.

Pasco police highlighted the issue with gang violence in our communities and how the response from neighboring agencies was necessary in this arrest.
