    Fire Risk:

    • Dry and unstable conditions, especially in southern areas, could increase fire risks during this heatwave.

    • A weak system moving in from the southwest could add instability and may trigger some thunderstorms, especially in central Oregon along the Cascades, Friday evening into early Saturday morning. However, the chance of this happening is low (15%).

    Monday - Wednesday:

    • The forecast becomes uncertain early next week as models disagree on how quickly an approaching trough will move into the region.

    • Monday should remain dry with slightly cooler but still above-normal temperatures.

    • By late Tuesday and into Wednesday, there’s a chance for cooler, showery conditions, with a possible risk of thunderstorms. However, forecast confidence is low, so keep an eye on updates as the models get more accurate .
