Thunderstorms are expected to form during the afternoon hours and weaken during the evening as the sun sets and temperatures drop.

Temperatures will trend down slightly for the weekend with highs in the upper 80s. showers and storms are possible, especially on Saturday. Low-end rain chances are the forecast for the first half of next week but could increase depending on where tropical moisture goes. Temperatures will return to the 90s for most of next week.

In the tropics, a wave over Hispaniola continues to move to the west. It could impact Florida over the weekend and possibly lift northward next week. There is a 70 percent chance this forms into a tropical system during the next seven days.
