According to VDOT, drivers are advised to seek alternate routes after downed wires shut down a major roadway in Centreville, Virginia. No word on the cause of the downed wires. Gov. Glenn Youngkin allocates $30M for groundwork to Hampton Roads commerce park
The City of Suffolk got a boost this week as it received $30.1 million from the state to improve roads to a proposed 540-acre industrial commerce park. The Port 460 Logistics Center will be located in Hampton Roads along Route 460 and the Route 58 bypass. The center has access to the entire Norfolk region as well as Interstates 85 and 95.

Residents and leaders will gather at Lake Newport Pool on July 20 to commemorate the community's founding 60 years ago. The pool party will feature a DJ spinning tunes, raffle drawings, a cookout with complimentary food and non-alcoholic drinks, carnival games, and pool activities to cool down in the summer heat.
