In the opening round of the Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament on Monday night, the Lander Lobos lost to the Cheyenne Coyotes in a fiercely defensive contest. Before a packed stadium of Lobos fans, Evan Stephenson started on the mound. He went on to pitch the entire seven-inning game, accumulating a dozen impressive strikeouts in the process.

Lobos Stumbled in Second Round of Pacific NW Regional
In round two of the Pacific Northwest Regional Babe Ruth baseball tournament, the Lander Lobos lost to the visiting Prosser Expos from central Washington. After logging a tough defeat against Cheyenne on Monday, the Lobos aimed to bounce back and keep their regional championship hopes alive. Unfortunately, their recent habit of leaving runners on base continued throughout, and they fell by a final score of five runs to zero.
Lander Legends Girls 14U Fastpitch Softball won State Championship
The Lander Lady Legends fastpitch softball team brought back some hardware from the state tournament in Gillette. Girls softball is broken into different age divisions, and the Lady Legends have five teams to their name across the different age brackets; all but one of those teams placed, and the 14U (14 and under) took first.
