One of the Rotary Club of Lander’s International projects this year involves sending small solar panels to war-torn Ukraine for residents and military to charge their cellular phones and tablets. To date, 58 solar panels have been flown across the Atlantic Ocean from Lander to Poland, and then to Ukraine, through an agency on the east coast.

LaGrange firefighters respond to grass fire
LAGRANGE -- At least three fires were reported in the Panhandle area this weekend. The LaGrange Fire Department spent Saturday night working a fire south of Highway 313. More than 57 fire trucks and 100 firefighters were on the scene. The fire was believed to be contained at about 3700 acres.
