2024–25 ARTCORE to kick off in coming weeks
CASPER, Wyo. — ARTCORE’s 2024–25 season kicks off Monday, July 22 in Casper with the first of five music and poetry events. The slate of events begins with a night of the artistic stylings of Steve and Robin Grussendorf, to be followed by an open mic for writers.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s registration now in progress
The Rock Springs Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be taking place on Saturday, August 24, in Bunning Park. Individuals and teams can register online now or in person in Bunning Park on the day of the event. Day of registration will begin at 8 a.m. along with a pancake breakfast provided by the local Kiwanis Club.

Natrona County health and food inspections (7/8/24–7/14/24)
CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department inspects restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food units, commissaries, and food vending operations. Every facility has an unannounced inspection at least twice a year. According to the department, “There are three types of violations: priority, priority foundation and core.”
Rock Springs Stallions at Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Highlights – 7/13/24

Arapahoe Man Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Strangulation
Daniel Anthony Whiteplume, 26, of Arapahoe, Wyoming, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for assault by strangulation. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Afternoon storm with 70 mph wind gusts leaves over 300 Rocky Mountain Power customers without service in Lander & Hudson
(Fremont County, WY) – Downed power lines have led to outages for Rocky Mountain Power customers in Lander and Hudson this afternoon, July 15, between 2:30 and 3:00 PM. A downed power line reported on Smith Street in Lander has left 50 customers without power, and there are two other outages reported in Lander that have also affected 33 customers.
