One person dead in head-on crash on Highway 93

ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) -- One person is dead following a head-on crash in the Town of Arcadia Tuesday morning.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened at 1:26 a.m. on Highway 93 near Loesel Lane. A northbound and southbound vehicle collided head on, causing life-threatening injuries to the driver of the southbound vehicle.

That driver was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the northbound vehicle was taken to the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation. Names of those involved have not yet been released. Officials expect to release more details at a later time.
