The Mt. Zion Village Board met on June 17 tabled an action for a mayoral appointment and confirmation of Julie Miller, Village Administrator to the Mt. Zion Park Foundation. During the public forum, Chris Buckley urged the board to table the action. Cerro Gordo School Board accepts art grant, names football field
The Cerro Gordo school board held its June meeting Wednesday, June 19, at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. The meeting started with sn Amended Budget hearing. The property tax money from Piatt County was received in June last year and will be expected this year in June or July at the latest. The budget will work out regardless even though the fiscal year ends June 30. The total budget remains solidly in the black.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill (WAND) - A week after DPS61 finalized a plan to ban cell phones in schools across the district, Springfield's District 186 met to discuss their options. "We've got concerns about the emotional health of the students, there's distractions throughout the day that manifest into poor grades, but then at the core, I think that the biggest problem we've been facing are the behavioral issues," Micah Miller, President of the District 186 Board, said.
