Absurd heat continues across a large portion of the country this weekend, with many locations from coast to coast already setting all-time record high temperatures.

Raleigh, North Carolina, not only set the record for their hottest temperature on record with 106 degrees on Friday, but the city also recorded its highest heat index of 118 degrees during the afternoon. Records for Raleigh go back to 1887, meaning Friday was the hottest day there in at least 137 years.

On the West Coast, Palm Springs, California, soared to 124 degrees yesterday, breaking its all-time record of 123 degrees. Records for Palm Springs go back to 1922.
