    Driver arrested for DUI after crashing into Arkansas City home

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Jeep crashed into an Arkansas City home on Wednesday. Luckily, a person inside the home escaped injury. The crash happened in the 200 block of West Kansas Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

    Michelle Bruce tells KSN News that her daughter was the only one at home when the crash occurred. She was by the front door and wasn’t hurt.

    The house has been boarded up. Bruce says she is waiting for the insurance company to arrive.

    Kingman motorcyclist injured in crash in Reno County

    KSN News has contacted Arkansas City police to learn more about the crash. The department responded and said the 22-year-old man was booked on suspicion of DUI, lack of proof of insurance, transporting an open container, and reckless driving. Police say a passenger in the car had an open container.

    The Arkansas City Fire/EMS assessed the home’s structural integrity.
