    Arlington sinkhole evokes emergency repairs, road closure

    ARLINGTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Road crews are conducting emergency repairs on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington due to a sinkhole that opened up on Wednesday.

    According to a post from the Arlington Department of Environmental Services, the sinkhole is between N Randolph Street and N Stuart Street. Crews said it is not wide but has a depth of around 14 feet.

    Multiple homes in Potomac evacuated due to gas leak

    The repairs are taking place during daytime hours and may extend through Sunday. Open traffic lanes will favor rush-hour directions, according to the department.
