Arlington police are asking for the public's help to find a "person of interest" in connection to a deadly hit-and-run last month.

Daniel Cruces, 30, was fatally struck by a 2019 Honda Civic at the intersection of W. Pioneer Parkway and Center Street on June 9, Arlington police said.

Police said they would like to speak with Joel Sac Tambriz, 24, about the incident.

Officers stopped Tambriz in the same vehicle in January, police said. They found the car abandoned in the 700 block of E. Pioneer Parkway and witnesses told officers they saw the driver flea toward a nearby apartment complex.

Anyone with information about Tambriz was asked to call 911 or call Ofc. Trowbridge at 817-575-8602. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.
