In the wake of Ingrid Andress ' rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the MLB Home Run Derby going viral for all the wrong reasons, the country singer offered a vulnerable health update.

On Tuesday, July 16—the day after Andress gave an uncharacteristically sub-par performance of the national anthem in Arlington, Texas—the 32-year-old country singer took to social media to address what happened.

"I'm not gonna bulls--- y'all, I was drunk last night. I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need," she wrote on Facebook . "That was not me last night. In the comments, fans showered Andress with support, with one writing, "I respect your courage and honesty. Sending love and healing vibes your way."

Another Facebook user commented, "Way to own up quickly. We all go through things. People are so quick to judge. You're very brave. Count me among your fans who are with you."

Meanwhile, yet another fan shared, "Mad respect for your accountability. I’m cheering you on girl. Going on two years sober and happier than I’ve ever been!!!! You got this!!!!"

The Grammy-nominated artist fielded widespread criticism following her July 15 national anthem performance. Video clips of her singing quickly spread on social media, with viewers comparing her version to that of Fergie singing ahead of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game .
