ILCC Students Perform Well at Skills USA Competition
–Ten students from Iowa Lakes Community College and the Iowa Lakes Career Academy, including one from Kossuth County, recently brought home several awards from the Skills USA competition in Atlanta, Georgia. The competition allows students from across the country to put their technical skills to the test, with over 6,000 competitors in 115 skilled and leadership competitions.

Ribbon Cutting Held for ELC Agricultural Learning Center
(Estherville)--A ribbon cutting and open house was held Saturday morning for the ELC School District's new Robert Griffith Agricultural Learning Center. Students in the ELC FFA Chapter did most of the planning and all of the fundraising for the facility located at 1620 7th Avenue South. The featured speaker for the ribbon cutting was Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig.
