Foundation looking to low suicide rates in Nebraska
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Sometimes people who battle with mental health suffer in silence. A lunch and learn hosted by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce shed light on how to support and be an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. The Nebraska chapter of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention explained what they do to help reduce suicide rates. Grace Manley of AFSP said suicide is the 11th leading cause death Nebraska and second for those between the age of 10 to 34.
